Composer Alexander Goldstein told Match TV that Tatyana Tarasova is able to evaluate the performances of skaters better than any judges.
Earlier, Tarasova told Match TV that she could not comment on competitions on Channel One due to sanctions from the head of the sports broadcasting directorate of the channel, Olga Chernosvitova.
– Television broadcasts of figure skating competitions are covered by TV commentators and specialists. Such a level of specialists as Tarasova, in the country once, twice – and counted, but she is the most titled. Moreover, with vast experience in television.
Can Tatyana Anatolyevna express her opinion without pink commentator glasses? Undoubtedly! Isn’t she allowed to discuss the refereeing results? Why not? Do they, the judges, understand better than anyone? I am sure that Tarasova herself is able to evaluate the performances of the skaters at a deeper professional level. Judges are more theoretical than practical. Tarasova sees what most coaches and judges are unable to see. Therefore, she had such results. Tatyana Anatolyevna’s assessments are always very frank, she speaks without regard to anyone. And it is always very interesting for everyone.
The loss of Tarasova on the channel as a specialist is a big loss for figure skating fans, for the audience and, of course, for professionals, Goldstein told Match TV.
Alexander Goldstein has been providing musical accompaniment for figure skaters’ programs for over 50 years. He worked a lot with Olympic champions, world and European champions, including students of Tatyana Tarasova.
